Too Many bandits?!
So, when I go to a vilage and it says its being raided by some bandits, I think its not suppose to spawn 5801 bandits. I am truly not making this up, Each time I'm fighting a random group of bandits that are raiding a town there are somewhere between 1000-5000 men that spawn. does anybody know what is wrong with my game :/ (note: I am using some cheats but I'm not overspamming them.)

As mike ya stated, when you level outside the normal game parameters and limits, for whatever reason, weird things happen.

What "cheats" are you using? That may shed light on the issue. Quest bandits are generated partially as "level dependent" in order to give you some sort of challenge. Once you get into extreme ranges, the game is going to say to itself "Golly... I don't have any more high-level units to choose from in order to provide a challenging encounter, so I'll just make a BUNCH of them!" :)

I was using the money and health cheat, and I was using the level cheat to get to level 50, but I haven't touched the character screen in a while so that could be quite a big problem haha :) thanks Morkonan and Mike!

cheating messes up your game. eitherway. you shouldnt use them unless your not going to play serius. if you just want to quickly have abit of fun.

Don't use the level cheat. Modify your character file manually instead.

@Sobei. It's the same thing. It scales to your current level. It's what happens when you screw up trying to cheat ^-^

What I meant is you can give yourself all of the benefits of gaining the levels without adding any experience to your character by manually editing the file. Because of level scaling and the bug for going to high levels you would be most powerful by staying at level one anyways. But, you can give yourself whatever stats, skills, and proficiencies you want within reason. If you get too carried away and go beyond the limits expected by the game then that could also create bugs.
How do u edit your character files as stated above , because its annouing clicking a million times to upgrade a character

:)

Something like this happened to me in Warsword Conquest. (No level cheats, definitely a glitch/bug/fun-bug.)

I met a Farmer and agreed to free his village from "Bandits." When I showed up, there were 60 Trolls.... I guess they were wearing "bandit" t-shirts or something and he got confused.

"Stupid Farmer! You're drunk. Those aren't "Bandits.""

Entire army wiped out, me unconscious... Trolls happy.

Do a search for "character edit guide" for M&B. There's a gamefaq or some such guide out there that will tell you what to edit. Do it at your own risk, though.

export character. Go to documents and go to warband folder. find your chars name and edit it via notepad.

You can also just copy/paste from 'another character' if you don't want to edit everything manually. To 'save' face, just copy the last two lines. You'll still need to redo age I believe.

-----

If you're going to cheat, at least know the 'limits' that the game 'sees', i.e. the 'soft cap' for level is 61. The 'hard cap' for attributes is not 30 but it is 10 for skills (you can get another +4 if it's your personal skill). Wanna see how much HP you can give your character (need to edit another file, not your character's exported text file)?

Or really, enable cheats and just press a key to kill/KO an enemy. But using cheats in whatever way, method or form... will get addicting and soon you can't do anything without thinking/using a cheat.
