Why does Napoleonic Wars have no story?
The Napoleonic Wars dlc is the only peace of mount and blade content to not have single player and its single player custom games suck.

The upcoming viking and all dlc from before had Single player open worlds and good single player custom matches where you could fight your choise of bots numbers, player character, factions, and maps.

I am not trying to be mean I am just wondering if there was a reason was this baced off a mod where there is no single player?

Thanks

well.. Honestly, would it even be fun? Trying to somehow be a good general in SP and then randomly get shot by surfs with guns every time? WFAS was bad for the same reason. Stray bullets. Only alternative was play on easy with LOTS of armor. Still no enough. guns kill the player everytime. they would have to make a totally new AI or something just for that. Might as well have just made it a standalone then. But instead they said ♥♥♥♥ it. lol good. Save it for an expansion for bannerlord

The single player was in the works, but Paradox, the former Publisher for this game, rushed Taleworlds to get the game out, otherwise it would have had single player, centered around Napoleon and his battles throughout the West.

Well, if you know how to load mods, you could always get a mod like Napoleonic Wars Single player, or Imperial Age, to name two mods that provide players with the experience of leading more modern armies and changing gameplay.

You guys do realize this is a mod that TaleWorlds thought was so great that it should become a DLC? There is no SP because, quite simply, the mod maker did not put in SP.

No, they WERE working on single player, look in the files, there is even a video for one of the missions you'd do, with Napoleon giving a big speech before one of his famous battles.

Publishers always dictate the time period for development and Paradox likes its money and forced NW out of the door asap.

Maybe because Napoleonic Wars is based on real events, while Warband isn't. Fire and Sword kinda is, but not too much I think.

Napoelonic Wars singleplayer like a Warband thing wouldn't be very fun or good I reckon.

Speak for yourself. It's pretty much what I'm hoping Taleworlds focuses on for the first dlc of Bannerlord. It'd be the same thing as WFAS, drop you in a historical setting and just start the sandbox. They could do like what they are doing with Viking conquest, they're making a campaign that has a story, and the regular sandbox mode.
