Personally, I strongly dislike GoT, so I won't even try the mod (that is nowhere near finished, as far as I know, correct me if I'm wrong) of a game / series / novel I don''t care for one bit.
So here are my (again: Personal) suggestions:
Prophesy of Pendor is one of the most finished / polished mods, it has it's own, unique fantasy setting and does things quite a bit differently than all those "mods that look different but play exactly like native". It's quite a bit harder than Native, too.
Sword of Damocles: Warlords is also a total conversion mod, it's quite polished, has a huge new map, all the original factions + several new ones. Also has some nice, not-seen-in-every-mod features. Even though it's called "Test Combatant" for it's beta state, it's a full, complete mod that is just supposed to get added features along the way.
Those are just two of my personal favorites. Maybe take a look.
I love that they are finnished . Do you have time to help me and give me guidence or point me to where i can learn how to DL and instal those mods and can i import a character from M&B Warband to them ? Kind of really important to me ...
Just go to "Warband Nexus" and register there. They have the best speed and stable public download servers, IMO, but I think the official Taleworlds forums or "Moddb" should have it, too.
Find the mods, download them to where you want.
In case of SoD:Warlords, it comes as an executable - so if you are sqeamish about this sort of thing, definitely run a virus check on it (no shame if you are, safety first and all that noise).
Simply execute it, it wil likely throw a warning error "Can't locate Warband from registry or Steam" (something like that).
Just point it to the steamapps/common/MountBlade Warband/modules folder and let it extract, same with the patch (So, D/L "Sword of Damocles Warlords 3_92 Full" and "Sword of Damocles Warlords 3_92f3 Patch" from the nexus mod page).
For Pendor, it comes in a zip file - I assume you know how to extract files? Windows should be able to do it, but if not, you need to get 7zip or winzip or something like that (7zip is free, winzip is free as a trial version, both should work fine).
Open the file and drag and drop the Pendor folder into steamapps/common/MountBlade Warband/modules folder.
Hope that made sense, good luck!
It's a lot harder though but more fun
How about character import /export situation ?
But generally, you can just import a character, anyway, you only have to live with one or two skills that are at 1 (because you obviously didn't have them when you exported from Native), but I think both Pendor and Damocles don't make changes there - Except for Pendor, it may have boosted stats for strength and such, but you can always edit the exported character with a text editor ;)
