It should pop up a window of configuration of the simple setting and module selection thingie, so it should work if you're clicking configure, if that doesn't work then I suggest you try to try what this lad says but idk how to do it normally from steam as a fix for you but from terminal :

Go to that directory and run that file which is the config, there will be modules there to change it ;3

If you don't know how by commands It's quite alright everyones new at one point I don't know that much myself. But hence why askubuntu was made

Well, I met the same problem in Linux Mint 17, KDE. I run the config application in shell and get the print "./mbw_config_linux: symbol lookup error: ./mbw_config_linux: undefined symbol: SteamUGC".

You should always run the config tool from Steam, not from command line. It uses Steam Runtime for Steam Workshop. You should also have 32 bit versions of qt4 and (on some distros) libaudio2 installed. So try this:

sudo apt-get install libqt4-gui:i386 libaudio2:i386

I run the config tool from Steam after installed the libs but the problem was always same.

This is the shell print (I run steam in shell):

Here Lordeter! The last time I tried it, this worked. I hope it does it for you!
sudo apt-get install libqt4-gui:i386
It was labelled in my google drive as 'Fix For Linux Mount and Blade: Warband Configuration unease' and it's the only thing I've found so far.
//Sometimes if you alt-tab out of the game the graphics on the world map when you go back in. So, if you watch videos in the background you might be better off just using the in-game steam layover browser. (not related, but a tip nontheless)

sudo apt-get install libqt4-gui:i386 gives me this:
E: Unable to locate package libqt4-gui:i386.
using kde neon, so it should be the same repositories as unbunu.

@MustafaK, any help for us? or is there a txt file we can do the same configurations from?
check this thread. https://steamcommunity.com/app/48700/discussions/0/615086038678570845/

it helped me to solve it partitially however I'm still unable to start configuring tool via steam, but I can do it manually then I select module save config and launch game via steam, and it launches selected module, that's enough for me.
