How do you drop the shield w/out losing the woepon?

I dont want to lose my weopon, how can I drop the shield? without pressing G and losing woepon???

Drop the shield and the weapon and pick it up again? Or just put away your weapon.

Num pad 1-4 is your weapon slots, if you got a shield just push the corresponding num key and you will put away the shield or weapon.

There is a sheath weapon option, if you have only your shield out you will drop that.

Sheat your weapon then press G.
