well, the same as increasing relations with every other faction in every other modules (follow them around, and help them in fights, or fight against them and take them prisoners, every prisonerof noldor that you release gives you +1 relations with them)
you need a really big amount of renown, leadership and charisma points (me myself NEVER would try to take a castle and make my own kingdom without having at least 3 nobles in my party, and without +1500 renown.
yeah i get that, but fighting them doesnt really yeild enough pisoners to break even, you need 5 just to get one point and man for man they kick my ass and they seem to rather want to fight me than let me help them, bit of a catch 22 thing i suppose
wow,i thought so,this is going to be a very long game!
After you have friendly relations with the Noldor, head into Rane, and find a hidden chest in the streets. it has a Qualis gem, give it to Quiqfren at LARIA towns tavern, and he starts selling you noldor Mercenaries and noldor equipment.
got al aziz map to but its not showing up as far as i can see,any idea where it is?
I've gone to neutral with noldor using the same group a bunch of fights in a row.
i thought getting into scraps with faction lords to help them would have the sarleon lords start hunting me to
which i dont really want cuase then it will be hard to get into laria
actually not sure what to do there, dont want to be a sarleon vassal, but getting my hands on lairia seems like pie in the sky at this point
and what do they expect you to do about these 1000 man merc armies lumbering around??
they are not even unique spawns,i hope they are not so tough,i havent seen one yet
For large field armies, check their composition. If they're mostly weak units like armsmen or mystmountain raiders then having a strong core of knighthood units should help a lot.
Finally, don't worry too much about angering factions. If you go negative but aren't at war, you can pay off some of their lords to get back in their good graces. Or if you want to be safe you can save their civilians from bandits to build up a buffer of relation points.
i found al aziz,it was in desert behind torbah,i didnt even realise that was part of the explorable map! :-)
thats a good idea, never have tryed that so may well when i get the power/oppitunity
im only 40 days in sofar, but i used a lvl 41 vet from other mods that came with a mill denars and i guess im a bit used to being able to "buy" my way into the game :-)
to that point i have 9 well equiped NPC,25 hero adventurers and 30 huscarls
due to high tactics(12) and this party size/stength im having a bit of trouble getting renown quickly, but its still not really up for taking on the large lord armies or castles but im loath to disband any as they took some training and time to aquire
spent 800,000 denars already btw and still only just cover my army wages each week :-)
im not usually much for archer troops but they seem extra dangerous in this mod
do you have any favourite troops for this mod?
My favorite units are probably the silvermist units. I just like the look of their armor, but unfortunately they aren't recruitable until you found a chapter in your own fief. I also liked the Barclay Sappers and the Knights of the Raven Spear. The former can be found in taverns, and the latter start in Poinsbruk. The Radiant Cross and Ebony Gauntlet also sound good, but I didn't get to them last game.
Actually, you can get some Knighthood troops early by doing the bounty hunting quest for an order. Just see the knight in the castle and he can give you a quest to kill X points of certain bandit factions. If you kill double what he needs then you have about a 25% chance of getting some of their troops. I recently got 4 Raven Spear knights this way.
ive relented and joined the sarleons, becuase i was getting good relations with them and lords, plus the lion knights look pretty tough when i compare them to others
is it worth while building things in villages?
ussually i dont bother, but im hoping you can earn lots more off fiefs given the cost of troops
and just how do i get a castle?
ussually i just take one on my own,but i dont fancy my chances here
do i just wait fo one to get awarded and just play the whole "suck up" game with lords and king
just seems i cant really start playing proper till i got a castle/town
Getting larger fiefs is pretty tough. If you take it yourself you get more support, but if you're still early on it might not be enough. The other way is to just grind renown until you have more than the king. At that point only the worst lords will vote against you.
You do have your enterprises set up, right?
im just trying to get to a point where i can get noble recruits
im a knight of the lion order already, and at this rate it might be quicker to just become thier marshal and use thier castle
although i can now enter tournis and battle lords for renown, these hero adventerors are to pricey for calvary and having no way to garrison is real annoying, not to mention no storage box
yeah i have dyeworks in every town but that still doesnt pay my army, specially now im sarleon lord,war,war,war..damn swadians
