No the king likes me alot but it seems he does not want to piss of a jarl who has won no wars for him or took castles

Give us the exact relations.
you need to do quests for the king to gain popularity points frome him.also your renome(howe you behave in game) have alot to do.another thing that helps is......example if you see a fellow Lord/vassal frome your faction, you jump in the fight and help him out, then when the king choose who to get the castle/town. they wil suport you(vote for you.my experiance is that if you are very active helping the farmers frome looters,e,t,c and join in as many fight you can along side your fellow Lords in your faction. things will change for you.another thing to be well liked whitin your faction is to gain honore, you can get that frome alot of thing, example not take the rewards frome the pesants when you free them frome looters in theyr villagers, cchoose the option that they can ceep it.good luck

i started a revolt once and it took me a looong time almost 1-2 mounths real time although it is so rewarding when its the last battle and you see the old king fall! its fun though
Revolting is the fastest way to get what you want... and keep what you have, eventually.
Now, I'm not sure being king is the best part of that game... if you think of all the paperwork...

the thing i dont like beeing a king is howe fast the lojalty to your Lords sink so fast when you give castles .e.t.c to other Lords new comers and such
Once a lord's loyalty goes down, I find it safer to fire him when he reaches around -40. He's never gona lov e you anymore anyway.
Some ladies can offer gifts to make him feel a bit better, but that's costy... for just saving a very little time.
Kings suck.

I approve of this thread. Kings suck. They and their lousy vassals can bite my shiny metal tassets. My first game was a disaster largely due to the blue-bloods being so hideously incompetent. I don't recall seing Jarl Knudarr's forces at the siege of Curaw, and yet that impudent little twit had the temerity to say he supported himself for the lordship.

It was not until my second game that I realized why the nobles are so stupid. The King has affinity ratings for them just as you do when you're the sovereign, so most of his time is spent trying to keep his nobles from revolting; a pointless task - they were always revolting. He grants them fiefs they cannot defend, and so the war drags on forever.

Any more I don't even bother allying with any kings, I just wait for Swadia to be at war and then seize their western lands as an independent. Only my lieutenants with high morale are appointed to hold fiefs, whereupon I immediately give them my best troops and set about training a new army. Your companions make far better vassals than any other lord because you can resolve their disputes with a much lower persuasion score and raise their affinity much more quickly.

From there, it's just a matter of time to victory. Once I hold Swadia and have the finest cavalry in the game under my command, the war is over.

If you're set on salvaging your current game, keep waiting and keep sucking up to the King. Eventually all the nobles will begin to lose favor and defect or revolt, at which point the King will grant you pretty much every fife. Then you just turn around and revolt.

Not only kings suck but playing as a king yourself do suck, mostly because of the "paperwork".

As a player who beaten the game as a king, this is quite true.

All the lord management, all the military training, sucking up to the village folk so they join you in larger numbers, etc etc etc.

It's a lot of work. Worth it in the end, though.

That.

That Gekokujo mod offers some great help about managing armies, money, training, patrols...

give up one of your less useful fiefs. When serving under a nation the king will not support you regardless of your relation if you own to many fiefs. if you try to sway other lords opinions youll get similar responces. "youve been rewarded enough for your efforts". If your not at that point ask other lords to support you. It'll add their status on to you. You already have a renown multiplier for being the capturing party and a couple of lords supporting you=instawin in most cases.

Dream Reaver, when did you get to that point? I was working for king Rangar, and I was losing so much gold, and he still was giving me land, land I didn't even want or conquer in the first place. And I survived several "purges". Needless to say I never got the chance to rebel, I tired, quit, and took suno for myself.
