Does the Leadership skill stack with your companions?
If not, how are you supposed to have a bigger army. I have LVL 6 Leadership and my max size is 100~120 but i want MOAR.

It does not stack with companions.
Renown, get more renown...
Chikuwu Sep 17, 2014 @ 9:09am
as it says on leadership skills menu, its an Personal skill. so, in essential your party size is Renown + charisma + leadership.

thats why i just run alone killing 50 bandits at one time to increase renown with 50 each fight.

Never put points in the CHArisma skills. As you level up, you'll regret spending points in those as each level takes a lot longer to reach. If you can, raise the INTelligence attribute (you get bonus skill points for raising INT) and/or the STRength/DEXterity attributes and related skills. Those are the things you'll want to take to level 10(14). The other stuff, you can let your companions handle.

Try disbanding your army, and go solo (or with your companions), take on large numbers of low level mobs. The Renown cap is about 50 per battle and increases the higher the odds against you. The game gives more weight to numbers than level, so large numbers of low level bandits will give you more Renown than beating a few elite troops.

Basically, by recruiting your 100+ army, you're crippling your renown earnings. Dump them (or put them in garrison) until you get your Renown to 3~4k. While you're at it, raise your Right To Rule too. It helps out when you're leading your own faction later.

I'd recommend trying the Silverstag mod. It makes pretty much all the skills useful to some degree or another even on companions.

Actually your off, its not a personal skill its a leader skill. There's 3 types, and if it were a personal skill it would stack for every party member with it just like trainer does (well not stack but you know what I mean, every character uses the personal skill, not just you or highest level)
Personal skill always apply for characters, leader only the players skill level is counted, and party skills only count highest level party members skill (and any bonus player may add).

Basically you use the wrong word, its a Leader skill so ......., not personal.

Yeah youre right on that. typo on my side.

But the leadership skill is a Leader skill, if you for example put points on your party companions Leadership skill, they use it themselves someday when or if you make them lords.

follow this guys advice but be careful
if you want to be a vassal for a kingdom first you can avoid leadership and just get renown but then youll be incredibly poor when you actually raise a big army

charisma is a great attribute to level if you are planning on maintaining many garrisons with lots of men in them, leadership will decrease the troop cost, so if you want to just rush to become a king you dont need it since youll just have vassals with their own armies you dont pay, but if you plan on being part of a faction for a long time then you want to have that good leadership skill high, it will not be a problem as long as it doesnt mean you stop getting other important skills first.

Holy necrobump! o_0

Though not sure why people don't wanna level up charisma, it really helps lowering troop costs.
And you are also able to get better results when talking to lords. ^^

That's actually INT, not CHA, although CHA would make more sense (and would make CHA better)

Cha is kind a dump stat since you can more or less achieve everything it offers through other means

Leadership requires Charisma, not Intelligence.

Leadership requires Charisma, but you get better results from talking to lords with Persuasion, which requires Intelligence in Native.

In Viking Conquest, it requires Charisma.
