prison break bug

when i am trying to make a prison brake,lord(my realtions with him may even be good) starts attack me-so i must kill him - and fail a prison break.

Oh, so that bug is still in the game :D
Happened to me several times in an older version - Only option seems to be reloading. Also telling him to keep out of the fighting might help, but not sure anymore.

Aren't you rescuing some Lord of some faction you're already at war with?
Otherwise, just try to be nicer with him, and not to close too his wife while he was in jail, maybe?

yesterday i told to Nord Lord to keep up from fight.
to complete prison break i needed to kill him(he was running from me and swinging his axe)

with Nord i had rep 7(being swadian mercenary),and today i tried to rescue swadian count(+10)

It's an old glitch. Restore from an earlier save, preferably one before you took on the quest.

its not beacause of quest-before it i tried to save Nord lord(without quest) and he attacked.
so i havent any saves earlier than glitch appeared(

by the way,is it a bug or feature that when you perform prison break and escaping from town,you get your normal equipment?

There is a bug around "freeing a lord". It seems working fine whe you're freeing him from a city prison, not a castle one.
In the "castle" situation, you wear only beggar clothing and a stick, even if your inventary shows your full usual equipment but "inactivated".
When you succeeded freing the lord, you're wearing your full and active soldier gear again.
I simply don't do that quest if it's not a city quest anymore.

This bug is still active. and soooooo annoying. i've overwritten all saves, since then, because i thought i can handle it by loading in some sort of progress -.-
that sucks.

I've had it happen with both castles and cities. Best you can do is to restart warband and reload which sometimes fixes it. I can't tell you what cleared it for me, but it would just go away on its own.

It is a bug that has been around forever, and I doubt it's going away. Restart the game, and it usually goes away.

In some mods, it's an easy way to halve the garrison and rake a ton of experience by doing the 'rescue' again and again, The lord does not mind.

When you have killed every single garrisoned troop that matches the guard slots, and when you have gotten a few thousands of experience from killing guards under controlled conditions, you can just restart the game, and get the rescue rewards, as well.

I have reduced a garrison in Perisno from 600 to about 200 men by 'rescuing' the same lord over and over again. My companions were acting as body guards, and were feathering the shieldless guards as you would not believe it. And the lord himself is worth a lot of experience, although I was taking that myself. You do not want him to take out your companions as he spawns and attacks.
