"Gоddamnit, I'm a sovereign in my own name, dozens of lords and thousands of soldiers have sworn allegiance to me, why the Hell am I stepping around cow patties?"
"Oh, you need cattle? Sorry, you're on your own, I've got towns and castles to storm".
I stopped doing those quests a long time ago. In the early game, when I'm still making friends in villages and such, I'll go fetch them a few cows from the next village over but that is it. I find that small movements and frequent spacebar use can be helpful (assuming you can keep up with the herd at least).
There is plenty to love and hate in there but in the end, despite frustrations, it is still a pretty great gaming experience.
