For example for a mod Iron Europe we made the Welsh Guards regiment which is based on the Welsh Guards in the WW1 days of that mod and no one was using the name so we took it and we're a big 2nd regiment known as 2nd Regiment As Foot so as a small regiment supported by 2nd we named our Welsh Guards as 2ndWG for tags to show that we're representives of 2nd as well as Welsh Guards where we could've used WG as our tag but we did 2ndWG as its just a smaller reg in a big ass reg as the 2nd meant for Iron Europe.
Iv'e been in several regs, dating back to mount and musket with the 16th. Every reg leader I've ever played for had well over 2k hours. They knew the game, they knew the strat. I played with a few regs as a merc, leaders with under 500 hours. They didn't know what they were doing. There is strategy to making and running a clan, on and off the field. You can't just go make one. One, newer clans hold (at least in my day) no respect. You have to earn it. Best of luck trying to start one though. Hit me up, I have a little over 1k hours and wouldn't mind checking out a brand new reg and helping them train and what not.
Well it's fun if you have a regiment battle, it'll be great after the new update coming up as it has a new map that makes it focus in heavier deep trenches that makes it extremly harder for snipers and riflemen to shoot eachother at such far range with good eyes. As both opposing teams will be charging into no mans lands and into those deep trenches to play.
Sneak peek, when beta testing the new map

Also as John3ki said, I agree just join one up and stay loyal to one for a year or two and see how things go.
