MacOS; How do I delete cd key?
My key is still on my other laptop. Friend can't use his steam account with his cd key. There's no straight forward way of DELETING OR NOT USING MY KEY from MY account.

The "registry" is a Windows feature, suggesting regedit is an invalid suggestion.

Problem is that the key could be stored in a variety of places in OS X. It is up to the software developer to choose where to store it. I have not heard where Taleworlds chose to put it in Warband. Even if you find it it might not be stored in plain text. So potentially it could be kind of problematic to change it manually. If you find it let us know where it is please.

Hmm. Just thought of something. Have you tried using spotlight to search for the portion of the key you know you entered correctly? It won't find stuff that is well hidden but if it was placed somewhere in the open it might find it. I would pay particular attention to any plist that show up.

hey it's my key he used. i'm looking now. i've unhidden all his files so let's see where we get from here. if we find out we'll make a thread about it.

Thanks for the ideas. we can't find it through spotlight or finder search on either his yosemtie or my mavericks

You could try grep or mdfind from the command line. Read the man page to find out how to use them.

A common location for keys is in an application folder within the libraries folder. You can try looking around there.
