(Help) I accidentally sell my spell book
New books can be bought at the mage vendor.
- to have cleric or paladin as a primary or secondary class (not necessary in older versions)
- to have a holy symbol (the looks may vary by alignment)
- to have enough Prayer skill (it may be called something else, It's been awhile)
- to have enough prayer points (blue bar on your screen)
- to open your prayer page
- to click on the prayer you want to use
- if it's a targeted ranged prayer, a throwing weapon will be equipped, and you have to fire it
- if it is an item summoning prayer, a weapon/shield will appear, and you can use it as normal
Some prayers will be only available to characters of a certain alignment, deity allegiance, honor, etc. Clerics and Paladins share a lot of spells, but not all.
The skill is called "Faith".
No, armor does not affect it. It works regardless of equipment(unless it is the holy weapon skill which needs an open slot).
The target's armor can increase or decrease the potency of some spells. One of the reports in the camp menu will tell you what, if any effect, the armor you're wearing has on spells the enemy may cast on you.
Mage magic is also affected by the target's armor, but in addition, the caster's armor matters.
