do missions or kill stuff
Every place you can get it... Any time you're traveling, you should be both looking for quests/missions to perform from neighboring towns/villages/Lords or hunting for bandits/enemies to kill. Don't limit yourself to any one strategy when looking to gain exp - Do everything.
The easiest is to hunt around for bandit groups while doing missions for Guilds that keep you in the region. The "worst" is doing caravan-escort missions that can easily take you all the way to the other side of the map... Just refuse those missions unless you know exactly where they want you to go and don't mind protecting a caravan over that distance.
Sieges are the best for Exp, but i recommend using a 2 handed/polearm for reach, otherwise you're too close and run the chance of getting hit.
Another easy way to level is taking on all the quests from the guild masters in the town you are at. I typically move from 1 town to the next depending on the quest. The caravan/cattle transfer quests are horrible, but it moves you from one area to the next. This also builds up your relationship with that town which reduces prices in stores :)
or export character nd give yourself the skills
