I linked it because he was talking about many factions, races, and a huge map.
Just preforming a bit of necromancy on this post to point out an important fact.
Warcraft is essentially a modified Warhammer.
Patrick Wyatt, a developer who helped make Warcraft said that Warcraft started out as a Warhammer game, but Games Workshop denied the license and they had to modify the assets just enough to avoid copyright.
Sure it's different settings, and changed/expanded upon the lore; but it's still quite similar and Warsword Conquest is still the closest anyone is going to find to a Warcraft mod for Warband; and I've been looking quite a lot for one.
Think of the warhammer races, then think of the warcraft races; how many real differences are there that you can find?
I'll write up the ones I can think of below::
Humans:-
Humans in warcraft essentially are a combination of Warhammer high elves and humans; even including the color scheme and lion symbology.
Dwarves:-
Dwarves in both settings are essentially the same, Warhammer dwarves have gyrocopters, warcraft dwarves have gyrocopters, warhammer dwarves have rifles and live in massive cave holds, hate orcs, and love beer, honor and etc; you get the picture.
Undead:-
Undead is about the same as well even; you have zombies, skeleton, ghouls, ghosts, etc etc; only difference is vampire are a bit more common in the warhammer universe.
High Elves:-
High elves of warcraft past lore are essentially the same as high elves of warhammer lore.
Dark Elves/Blood Elves:-
These two races are power hungry and corrupted versions of what was once the high elves; just a re-color of the armor from black to red.
Skaven/Troggs:-
Ugly rat monsters who live underground and infest dwarven mines and the like.
Halflings/Dwarves/Gnomes:-
Gnomes of warcraft are essentially a combination of Halflings and Dwarves of Warhammer.
Dragons:-
Dragons between warcraft and warhammer are very similar; although dragons in warcraft are far more active, color coded, and common from what I can tell.
Orcs:-
Orcs between the two IPs are essentially the same. A mysterious race from another world, with corruption flowing through their veins.
Goblins:-
They're the same, straight up the same, same personality, same weapon preferences and the like. In warcraft they got better tech but that's about it.
The Fel/Chaos:-
Responsible for the orcs of both IPs, and probably the goblins of both IPs. Connects to a parallel world of demons.
Night Elves/Wood Elves:-
They're a recolor; they both even have a world tree.
Kingdom of Bretonnia // Kingdom of Stormwind:-
Very, very similar cultures; you'd be hard pressed to really find any major differences between the two. Both put their paladins and magic users on high pedestals and hate the orcs and fel/chaos.
The Empire // Scarlet Crusade:-
At first I couldn't really think the empire had any similarities to warcraft until I remembered, they're actually quite similar to the scarlet crusade.
Beastmen:-
Beastmen of Warhammer don't have much similarities to anything in warcraft from what I can tell; although if you inverse the taurens personalities you'd have something akin to them in the Beastmen.
Nippon // Pandaria:-
Pandaria is essentially the panda version of Nippon.
Chaos Tribesmen:-
The chaos tribes of warhammer are not like anything in the warcraft world far as I can tell; closest would be the culitsts, and warlocks.
The Old Ones:-
Far as I know they're pretty much the same in both IPs?
Demons:-
Demons in Warcraft are very similar as to in Warhammer.
Lizard Men / Dragonkin:-
Lizard men are similar to the two-legged dragonkin; although definitely not-so in culture.
Mages:-
Mages in warcraft and warhammer are significantly different as the magic in the world works quite a bit differently I believe; with warhammer relying on the winds of magic and the mages manipulating it. Although I may be wrong and it may have other similarities, if any Warcraft mage lore-enthusiasts want to point out any similarities.
Paladins:-
Paladins in the two are honestly about the same, with paladins in warcraft essentially being like a combination of a Bretonnia paladin with an imperial priest.
Warlocks:-
Warlocks are to fel magic as chaos sorcerers are to- chaos magic.
Did I miss any big things that anyone can think of? I'll edit this post if so.
If I recall:
Make a warsword conquest folder in the mod folder, then put the contents of the Full Version download in it, then overwrite the contents with the Patch files.

True, but at this point most modders seem to be putting new projects on hold till Bannerlord comes out it seems.
Certainly hoping for some awesome fantasy mods to be made for it.
