Last Tuatha de Danann help me need a guide... [SPOILERS]

I´m gonna rant a bit sorry.

So I started the quest and after me and my army getting moshed by those half naked crazy people I thought: ´Aight old person said only 3 can kill em/do something about it.´
reload, encamp my whole army, f***** released all companions from my service and now theyre salty. only person going to the hut to meet the two champions and get my teeth get kicked in - Game over. Google problem and people say run away. Do that and after getting beat up I get dialog with the two dudes I was supposed to meet.
Two dudes search for the whereabouts of that false god. Me alone [Since my army is still in a camp and my companions probably go work in a saltmine} join the fight. Us 3 get beat up by the wolfpeople - game over.

I really dont know what the heck to do. Right now the 2 other champions dont even spawn when I start the Morrigan event. I am really upset about releasing my companions or not having the option of (correct me if I´m wrong) putting my companions in a camp with my army.
I cant change anything right now I play with autosave.

Is that a bug or what am I missing?

You didnt need to release everyone, so that was pretty much the main mistake, you have a lot of scary semi immortal men to endure, then a handful of other fights that having some backup in helps. I do that quest just fine with my companions, least last time I did it. The whole "Three men can slay it." is superstitious nonsense, and intended as nothing more than that as far as I know.

Short and attempted vague (to avoid giving much away) version of what to do is as follows.
Go to village,
go to pagan hut,
get ass kicked, but dont die, (just run away a bunch and avoid javs to the face)
meet heroes,
go back to village,
wait, messenger invites you to lair,
go there, fight again,
find heroes, make a decision regarding the other heroes,
then you and your companions fight a third round of those guys.

I had to partially rely on companions though, so that was a mistake to release them.

I cannot start the game with the file that had the problem I realised. My game crashes to desktop when I load. The last thing I did was leaving port in Dunvic with an owned ship. After 3 tries it always says - MnB stopped working.

I dont mind that that happens since I like starting anew - but I think the bug / problem I mentioned is a big deal.

-I did the questline of the abbot and is patron and accepted the quest of ´Last Tuatha de Danann
-I went to the village as I was told of the abbot and talked with the elder. He said that only 3 Heroes can successfully accomplish the quest - no more. I shall meet the other heroes at the burned hut of the old pagan man.
-I went with my army to the hut where suddenly I was attacked by the ´Monsters of Morrigan´
-Me and my army got killed instantly and I realised that me nor my men could kill any of the monsters.
-I loaded the game again - I do play with autosafe - and since it was the end of the story for me (Game over) I was at the point of leaving the village with my army and heading to the burned hut again.
-I remembered that the elder village man said only 3 heroes or bust, meet other 2 heroes at the hut. I encamped my army and released ALL of my companions so I was the only person in the party.
-The same thing happend they killed me and Game over. I did this a few times but results were always the same.
-I googled the problem and a thread said that you have to run away for a long enough time. Then a Horn could be heard and they [The Monsters] would run away.

*So I ran until my Character couldnt run anymore and got killed. But there was no Game over screen but a new screen wich explained that a Horn was heard and the Monsters ran and that you see 2 shades wich were the heroes. - But I did not hear a Horn.

*NOTE: this time I took 2 of my companions with me since I was too lazy to fire them from my party. The monsters beat them unconcious.

-Dialog with the heroes started [Please know the context] I decided to go back to the village and talk with the elder since he send a Messenger. The other heroes went looking for the Hideout of Morrigan and upon finding the hideout I went there : -

"Monsters" problem - You cannt beat them, you simplely keep away them, let your men fight and you move free until that event come you. You mission here isnt win :)

To avoid losses, at the risk of getting insta-throwing-speared-with-50-all-round-armor, take horse and ride around them. No need to kill any of them

- I accidently pressed send:

-AT FIRST: I went there with the 2 mentioned companions. They were replaced with the 2 champions. But nonetheless the Monsters killed us and it was game over.
-THEN UPON THE NEXT RESTART/RELOAD I fired my companions.

NOW I do not remember if the following happend WHILE I STILL HAD 2 companions OR if it happened AFTER I went alone - The two champions did now spawn with me anymore and I was alone with the monsters.

AFTER the CHAMPIONS did not spawn anymore I tried everything, running away and bringing my army but nothing worked. (I could bring my army wich didnt seem right since I thought that the game would only spawn me with the 2 CHampions only)

So this is/was my problem. WAS since the file with the problem seems unplayable right now.

I will TRY to play the game until this point again with another character.

FIRST WITHOUT THE BETA PATCH.
THEN THE BETA PATCH.

I do not / CANT make any promises if I am going to write feedback to the problem. Unless of course asked to. I love the game and I have to say that this is by far the best MNB I played and Im not even a fan of that time period.


In retrospect it seems like a bug so please see this as a bug report I guess

Get a pony, they are cheap, trade some wool to frisia from villages around england.

Horses not much more expensive, that same wool into gold trick will get you anything really. Either way, hope this gets sorted out, or you manage to beat those guys and get beyond that. Its really a decent quest arc.

I did first part by talking to my units to dismount (I didn't had a horse) and next I ordered them to retreat. I get the pony and ride around berserkers or far away from them. Maybe this could be useful for someone.
