How to find places on the map?

Single player question. So everytime I get a quest or something it's hard to find the places for it on the map. Is there a way to make markers on the map or is there a function to search the map or something?

Look at you quest log. Names of places are usually in a different color. Click on them, and you will get extra information. In addition to that, when your party is on the strategical map, you will have a button that will locate the settlement on the map.

If you go to quests you can press on the name of the place and check where it is.
