1) Starting M&B Warband
Start the Steam Client / Steam Launcher
Downlowd and Install Mount&Blade Warband
Click "Start" Button once and wait a bit:
Shaders will be compiled but nothing else happens
You cannot start the game with the start button
At the file explorer of your choice (e.g. Dolphin), goto to the game folder
<your drive with the steam library>/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/MountBlade Warband/
Doubleclick "mb_warband.sh" and select execute
this will start the game "mb_warband_linux"
it won't work if the Steam Client is not already running
2) Downloading DLCs
DLCs are not installed with the original Mount&Blade Warband installation
At the Steam Client goto Mount&Blade Warband, mouse left click and select properties
goto the DLC page
uncheck and recheck the two DLCs buttons
this will start the download of the DLCs content
wait until installation is finished
3) Configuring M&B Warband
Start the Steam Client / Steam Launcher
At the file explorer of your choice (e.g. Dolphin), goto to the game folder
<your drive with the steam library>/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/MountBlade Warband
Doubleclick "mbw_config.sh" and select execute
this will start "mbw_config_linux" and open a small GUI interface
it won't work if the Steam Client is not already running
At the GUI interface, you have a few options for Game, Audio and Video
You can select e.g. language, anti aliasing mode, video resolution
At Game/Current Mode, you can select which game or DLC to start (native = Mont&Blade Warband)
select e.g. "viking conquest" instead of "native" to play viking conquest
