Validating serial number

So now I cant connect to servers because it has to validate a serial number and then fails to do so. Google-fu has failed me, is there a real fix or is this just steams way of telling me not to play anymore?

It's not the steam server you pleb. It's the taleworlds server thats used for the server list, can be found at warbandmain.taleworlds.com (Well, atm it can't, obviously)
