You will always have problem with jealous lords, but benevolent, good-natured, martial and cunning ones can be kept happy if you are careful. The debauched, quarrelsome and sadistic ones will always be unhappy. Give them a village and use them while you can... When they bug out, good riddance.
You may be playing a mod that makes keeping lords happy much harder. Some mods even have policies that can influence this. If you set all your national policies so that lords' right are trampled and commoners are happy, you may really upset your lords.
So, if you are in Native, work harder in pleasing them. If you are in a mod, post in the mod's forum, and you will either get good advice about how to deal with your problems, or you may start a discussion that will influence the creator to fix the issue.
I'm not playing with any mods but i'm looking for them, not in native i'm playing Viking Conquest. I treat all my lords and jarls fine and they always say things like " you have a reputation for someone who treats their vassals well...etc" so I don't know hwy they're getting so damn angry
Debauched and Quarrelsome lords are always problematic though. The good lords are Upstanding, Good-natured, and Martial, while neutral ones (that can be kept happy with feasts) are Calculating or Pitiless. One of the problems with bad lords such as debauched and quarrelsome, are that they start feuds with your other lords resulting in rivalries and when you give land to a rival, that angers rivals far more than usual which might be what you're experiencing.
Edit: Another thing you can do is just hire all the lords, but don't hand out any land yet instead go back to the world map, hit the 'C' key, click on the Kingdom Reports tab (you might need to click on other tab like Faction Relations or something like that for the option to show), click on Lords, and make a note of which lords have good personalities that you can give fiefs to and ignore the rest.
Lords have personalities of three broad types: "nice guys", "smart guys", and "аsshоlеs".
The nice guys (benevolent and good-natured) like you if you are honorable, and do not get too jealous when you assign fiefs... even if they did, they will never grow to hate you if you are honorable, and least in Native. I think that in VK reputation works like honor in Native. The problem with nice guys is that they seldom betray their lord, so do not get too many of those when you are just starting out. They are also not aggressive enough in war for my liking, but they make great defenders.
The smart guys (cunning and martial) are the best. You have to earn their friendship, but they are reasonable when it come to assigning fiefs - they understand that lords without fiefs need one, they believe that lords with high renown should be first in line, etc... They are also smart enough to join your kingdom once you prove that you can hold your own. They make great warriors and vassals, as long as you keep their friendship, which is rather easy, because they like you for winning battles, and fighting at their side, which is easy, as they faithfully join campaigns.
The аsshоlеs (debauched, sadistic, quarrelsome) will be upset with whatever you do. They join easily, because they are unhappy with whoever they serve, and they can even be useful in war, although they tend to act on their own, because of their egos. But they hate everyone, even sometimes family members, and are jealous whenever you do anything for anyone. Sсrеw them. Only give the one village, which they can't take with them when they leave, which they will probably do. My wife enjoys keeping them happy with each other in Floris, but I personally think they are not worth the bother. Use them and lose them, I say.
So, I suggest you try to keep only nice and smart guys in your kingdom, preferably from the same families, and award fiefs according to renown and number of existing fiefs.
in prophecy of pendor
Go to the mod folder and open scripts.txt
look for this line : give_center_to_lord -1
now , directly under that line look for:
1224979098644774935 2 2112 3 1224979098644774935 -5
in native 1.171
the line should be
2106 2 1224979098644774934 2 2112 3 1224979098644774934 -5
the number -5 directly after the long line in both cases is the minimum relations to assign to a lord when a center is given
(it is -5 in pendor)
change it to 0 or even 1 to stop losing relations or even add good relations with all the lords who get the minimun
(note this is the minimum some lords will get more)
the maximun is the number after that
Now after answering your question , i would recommend not doing that
the game is designed in this way to make it intresting
It WILL ruin your game
but im all about choice and playing the way you want , so i gave you the answer
enjoy
By the way , in the latest Pendor prophecy its actually
in scripts.txt
under give_center_to_lord -1
But the line looks like this :
1224979098644774938 8 2106 2 1224979098644774939 2 2112 3 1224979098644774939 -5
Change the -5 to 10 for instance and you will get +10 no matter what
And again , this changes the way the game plays so do it at your own risk
