Same-sex marriage mod?

I'm quite surprised this wasn't on the list when I searched for it. However...

Hello there :D I was searching for a little mod which would actually let me propose to Ladies as a Knight Lady and to Kings as a Knight... however, no such mod exists, and I've searched a bit around and even found a topic asking this in 2010, which excalated in a silly fight between pro and anti gay.

Is there a simpler way than to have a mod? 'cause I had found a topic where someone was writing the code to be able to change player's gender while resting in a camp, but it wasn't compiled in a mod - there was only the code - and I've also lost that topic (it was on taleworlds forum though) plus, it was only really a workaround, which could even work I guess?

I must add that I've no experience with python (although some very basic work done on Unity) and I even tried a save editor and the Unofficial Troop Editor: the first doesn't get the option to change gender, and the second... well, I must have missed something 'cause when I go to change trp_player it doesn't load my character, but a basic sheet with all 4 at attributes and everything Default.

EDIT: The Stonewall Project mod project (made by me and other 2 awesome peeps) was started in 2016 and abandoned in the same year.

it just sounds like you want to start a fight here. if you want a sensitive mod you have to make it yourself

Yes, I also thought to reshaping something already existent, but then I felt like cutting off existing content to insert mine, which is not what I've planned. Instead, I'm thinking about making a new variable (or directly a new script) and including that in the checks with lords: at the start of the game, or when new noblesse is created, a random value is assigned to the lord, if it falls within a range of number, it's gay, another it's bi, another one is straight. then, when you talk with them, it checks for that. It would be the easiest and by far the most complete thing. This would also solve the dialogue problem, 'cause I would copy/paste the code from the marriage checks and just change it, so that it creates a new option.

Anyway, I'm packing up a 0.1 version of this mod for the Workshop, which would be the vanilla version stripped of the checks, planning to change it, thanks to who contributed with constructive critiques and if you've got some desire to help, just ask away!

Well if a mod that made same sex marriage possible is ever made it would be quite a project. They would also have to model mental health clinics into the mod for it to make sense so you could seek treatment for wanting to marry someone of the same sex.

For now you should just enjoy roleplaying a stable person.

I'm sure you'll enjoy this one thoroughly... just dont tell your parents.

I'm actually impressed by the sensible and mostly respectful conversation had in this thread, other than that I got nothing useful to say =\ Not something I am really bothered about in the game even though I do think I had a same sex relationship going in the ACOK mod a while back.

Yeah, mostly 'cause the romance system is a bit... well... basic >_> anyway the final goal is to spicy it up a bit, for now it's standing there alone and searching for shelter from ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I'm 100% sure that you couldn't actually have same sex relationships in medieval times, I'm also 100% sure you would have no political power nor army size since no one wants to follow a ♥♥♥♥.

You should try to contact him first unless you know him already. I know a few cases of modders who are very picky about who does what with their work.
