Why do the cheats not work on warband?

Hello, i just bought me warband because i liked the original m&b, but the cheat in the caracter menu for example don`t work even tho i have enable cheats in the configuration

what are you pressing? because to upgrade whole levels, press ctrl + L
to upgrade in thousand point xp is ctrl + x
to upgrade your skills like archery, one-handed, two-handed, etc is ctrl + w it doesn't have a constant amount it goes up by for those skills but meh
oh, and if you do cheat like pretty hardcore your game can freeze/crash or the enemy's get crazy amount's ( i'm talking 13000 numbers) of troops

Try a simple cheat like control clicking on the map to teleport. If that does not work exit the game completely. Launch it again and in the configuration menu in the launcher uncheck the option to enable cheats and then check it again. If there was some issue with the state of the game that was causing a problem that should reset it.
