Gotta hand it to the PoP guys, no wonder they might need to do hotfix or two since theyve been on a break for 4 years :D

renaming the FONT_DATA.XML file to font_data.xml fixed it for me.

I'm not sure if it is 100% perfect, but it is perfectly legible at least.
May still be a small issue in fonts.dds under Linux maybe, but it's good enough that I'm not even going to swap the native font files into the mod to see how it looks.
There was a .torrent file where you could download it from linked into the taleworlds PoP Download section.
I always had problems with most of the other mods near their endings. Not with this one. I kond of know every village or lord by heart...
If only it could include Diplomacy... and some women at the writing, that would be The Mod.
or the Freelancer mod would be great too, I love it to play as Soilder in the Kings army.....
Id say its much more unique. It has many unique features compared to Perisno or anno domini.
its a SLIGHT fantasy mod. not like perisno. It has elves, but theyre hidden in the game, and can only be obtained after doing a lot of things to recruit them, and theyre much more powerful than in perisno.
also, theres the "create your own knighthood" with your own named footsoldiers and horse knights. you can name your sergeants and your knights, and buy them the gear they use in battle.
The mod is really old. earlier update was 2011 if i remember right. now, the new 3.7 was made by the "get together" team that came back into modding, and they said they start doing more actively on the mod, and theyre a talented bunch of people.
its really unique on its factions too. read trough the Wiki to see how good the lore is :)
also the endgame "death armies" of ghouls which consist of 800 or so persons, is huge battles. its also one of the most challenging mod there is.
Prophecy of Pendor seems unique in that the developers take into consideration if adding something will make it too easy for the player or cause some balance issue. EVERY single piece of equipment is hand picked for each troop type so that if a troop has no shield, that's done for a reason. Levels and stats of troops have also been choosen, and for good reason. You won't get the weird level 32 to level 36 to levle 40 upgrades of other mods because the developers know that it takes a VERY long time to train troops above level 30 and especially level 36. There is only one exception but that was done, again, for a reason and with a purpose, they wanted to make that particular troop upgradable, but take a very long time to do it because it's already very good.
I hope you see where I'm getting at. The attention to detail with the balance and stats are unequalled. 3.7 was rushed, only because people had been begging for the release and wanted it out regardless. Otherwise the devs would have waited until the holidays were over (next year) to release. Past releases have been incredibly polished.
