Cheat to improve a companion's skill
Is there a file I could rewrite to increase the STR for one of my companions?
(Prophesy of Pendor, and I don't care about the achievements...)

its easy enable cheats , ask after his Skills and than pres Ctrl + X for a xp Boost, only bad thing is need to levelup, this works for the normal Troops too, only than in P menu
That's a good trick, even if I was trying avoiding leveling up. But that's gonna make it, as it's just some INT level I need a bit higher for some stupid but fun roleplaying idea of mine.
My thanks.

Open up your companions character menu and export his character, after that navigate to the charracter (find the directory somewhere because idk) and edit his stats to your liking! Be sure to import the character afterwards.

That goes for the Personal Character, not the companions, I think.
But my thanks anyway.
I'm certain those stats are written somewhere...

no it works as long as you export it
Well, even if I export a character file from a companion's skills sheet, it's always exporting my PC's file, not that companion's one, from what I tried...

two ways
1. find Morghs M&B WB-WFAS Editor.exe which lets you edit most of the things in game (note some things are scripted so it wont matter how much you change)
but you can change companion traits , lord traits , weapons , armor etc etc

2. Cheat using a script i worte a few years back which adds experience to the group
I suggest you copy the module to the Warband / Module folder or it will get run over everytime there is an update in the work shop
Take this line :
0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0 5 4 0 71 1 35 1106 1 1585267068834415336 1674 2 648518346341351424 10000 3 0

Add it to the POP_Folder/triggers.txt file at the bottom of the file
Change the number at the top of the file to +1 what it currently is (if it was 31 now it should be 32)

Save
Enter the game
in the map click on H (if im not mistaken)
You will get 10K group experience
Change the amount of experience at the 3rd number from the end (10000<- 3 0)
Enjoy

Both of this are not considered cheating by POP

Fun. I was reading that most excellent question, ready to answer it, yet thinking to myself how dumb the OP was, only to realize...
that was me.
