This silly, unfinished adultery "feature" in VC serves no purpose except to be an annoyance and a distraction from the rest of the game. When a dev admits that the whole thing is half-baked and will probably never be finished, it's time to take it out of the game completely. At the very least, I will be modding it out of my game, and I have no qualms whatsoever about doing so.
Not true at all. I have a huge right of rule and high renown and still not married. That's a cheap shortcut, but that's all it is. I don't bother with feasts there are other ways to improve relations with the lords.
Looks like you are taking it too personally. Feature maybe unfinished but only slightly, the quest is not necessary. It reduces your relations with the lord, and you can attack him anyways. You also can get friendly with married ladies and get lovers of your own.
You can of course mod it out, but then you would have to mod out all adultery affecting other lords.
Anyway, I'm not arguing this for my own sake; I already know how to tweak my own game to eliminate the chance of adultery. I'm just speaking up for the other players who are also annoyed with it.
