Mount & Blade: Warband
Prophesy of Pendor is a monster game....
Stuff has hit points like you wouldn't believe. They still don't hit very hard though. I love how you can import your old character into these mds. :) Now, I don't have to waste all that time getting to the good stuff. ;)

They don't really ever take the time to balance their mods.

One couldn't be truer. I totally agree with you: modders should do what you do, and you should do the mods...

If you follow noldor parties around and help them fight bandits and caravans (pay the faction off immediately to avoid stacking bad rep with them) then eventually the noldor become friendly. Be sure to follow them at a distance so they don't attack you. Once they are friendly keep on following them but you don't need to keep your distance anymore.

Eventually when the Noldor love you talk to the guy in the tavern of the town close to the forest and he will tell you where the Noldor city is. Go to the city and you can do lots of cool things:

1) A merchant sells Noldor gear which is the best in the game, but it's random so you need to check a lot and the stat reqs are really high. The plate armour is awesome and requires 30 strength. The bow shoots almost in a straight line for a metric ton of damage but needs like 7 power draw

2) Tournaments: you can sometimes get noldor gear or even a qualis gem if you win, but these guys are STRONG!

3) Noldor Training: They can train your weapon skills where you have to duel a few of them and get +1 to your weapon skill if you win. You have to be strong to have a chance of beating them but when your weapon skills are like 400 and take forever to raise normally you can get them up to 600 through this training if you don't mind the grind

4) Noldor troops: they cost qualis gems so I don't think it's worth it, but they are the best non custom troops in the game

5) Noldor Technology: If you are rep maxed with the Noldor they share their technology, you can now equip your custom knights with their equipment for mental money like 300k per item! If you do it then your troops become terminators, sniping enemies across the map and taking almost no damage

There is also the hidden weapon merchant. You need to pay a qualis gem to a tavern guy (appears in random taverns) for the location. You can then pay to upgrade a weapon of your choice into a rune weapon, and another qualis gem to upgrade a rune weapon into a ruby rune weapon that hits like a truck. These are the most powerful weapons in the game and will kill nearly anything in one hit.

And there is the Knight Commander questline. Get high rep with an existing Knight Order by joining the faction and doing missions for them. They eventually give you a full set of that factions equipment which is nice. They also give a quest to defeat a very powerful bandit faction controlling a castle. When you do that you become the Knight Commander and get an unsiegable castle for yourself. It can be upgraded and provides services like a merchant that sells all the food, and a blacksmith who can upgrade any item to lordly including items that aren't even sold in normal shops. This can enable you to get Lordly noldor items and become really hard to hurt

Also if you capture a faction leader when they have 3 or less fiefs remaining in their faction you can ransom them for their weapon. There are some insanely powerful unique weapons that have nearly as much damage as a ruby weapon but are super fast as well. The Noldor lords also have such weapons but I think getting them is random. One of them has the best bow

Finally you can BECOME A GOD!

Not exactly but kind of. When you defeat a bandit stack with a named leader (except the demons) you have a chance to capture the leader based on your prisoner management skill and assuming the leader wasnt unconscious when you engaged. You can talk to the leader and ransom them for a ton of cash or a qualis gem. These gems can be used to make rune weapons, start a Custom Knight Order, or to buy Noldor troops, but they have another use. If you give one to the merchant who can sell you the rune weapon merchant map he will give you an elixir which raise your str, cha and agi by 1! You can do this as many times as you like, farming the bandit armies for gems and raise your str, agi and cha as far as 255 potentially! Or you could save yourself the grind and edit your char for 255 stats and a bazillion gold cos thats the only way you'll afford this stuff before you're at retirement age!

It will never happen. The workshop has size limit which the mod exceeds.
