Please Help! Need Advice on Nova Aetas Mod!!!
Please Help! Im new to M&B in general and I am playing this mod now. Its great and i got the hang of it mostly but i ran into a HUGEEE issue. When i created my own "Kingdom" I was at war with a few other kingdoms. I could not figure out how to communicate with the opposing factions in order to reach peace or any diplomatic option in the game at all. Please help me! its becoming very frustrating. I have also noticed that I cannot give a "Castle" or other lands to a vassal... seeing that I initially have no vassals. This is becoming really big problems for me in this game because once I actually acquire lands idk how to properly maintain them or make new vassals or get into diplomacy with other factions.

in native at least, you talk to your appointed minister (always change companion as minister, because the default one doesnt know ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.)

Then talk to the new minister companion in your own factions head town or castle, wherever your court is.

tell him that you want to send an emissary to another faction.

Then tell him to send an emissary for peace treaty (will most likely fail if you dont have enough Right to Rule points. (RtR)

And vassals wont ask to join your kingdom, if you dont have enough RtR, or not enough relationship with them to persuade them to join you from another faction.

you can appoint companions as lords and give them fiefs trough your minister. to make a companion to a lord, go talk to him in your PARTY menu, and tell him that "are you interested in holding a fief" and he will gladly accept whatever you give to him.

Its really recommended to play one playtrough of native base game before going into mods.

by companions, you mean the ones you can recruit in a city tavern? Im sorry im new to the M&B series in general. Just discovered the awesomeness!! lol. are there any other governing tips you can give me perhaps? Also, how would I raise my rtr?

I've never sent an emmissary for peace, but other than that you talk directly with the foreign King. Depending on how the war is going, hopefully bad for him, he will agree to peace. One of my biggest problems with native is the lack of an indication of your RtR. I've seen some mods handle it. In a "lets ♥♥♥♥ around with cheats and show the AI rulers what a true empire looks like " game, I made peace with the enemy several times. But, I don't remember if I started as a peasant or lord, only that i was cheating my way through to quickly explore the late game mechanics of marriage and kingship.

Yes, those that you can recruit from Town Inns.

Have high RtR, by first becoming a lord of another faction. thats the easiest way, because every time the faction that you belong to goes to peace, or if you marry a lady, will get you high amounts of RtR.

sending a companion to spread the word about your claim to throne (by saying "did you know i aspire to be the king fo this land" for them by talking to them trough party screen.) Every time you send one to do that, you gain 3 RtR.

Right To Rule determines the factor for how easily other lords join your cause, and how easily you can get peace with other factions. also it lowers the chance that others will sue war against you.

Low RtR while having a faction: many factions will sue war at you, no lords want to join you, and other problems.

You can see the amount of RtR you have in one of the menus, that also shows your Renown, and other stuff.

But id really recommend playing trough the much more simpler native basic singleplayer trough, since its easier to learn all the basics there. then go to the more difficult mods.

Thanks guys, I more or less got the hang of the mod, I was a vassal of the Agonic order and then I broke off and made my own kingdom. I did sort out the whole thing with the vassals and got the hang of handling the kingdoms economy. I am having trouble with making peace tho lol. I already conquered half of the Middle eastern kingdom because they wont make peace and keep raiding and looting my villages and also the Agonic order is hammering me roughly which is weird becuase I am also a christian and I was their vassal. Also I have some agonic order lords that switched over to me. Is there any way to overcome these wars? Im also at war with nordic kingdom and mithle...wtvr kingdom lol. Maybe a "cheating" way? because honestly I wont hold like this and even if i will, i will never have a stable kingdom with these wars. unless i conquer all my enemies wihich is like half of the world lol.
