Autosave option?

I play on Linux, and just had a segfault crash .. lost 3 hours playing. Especially playing a female char as nord ... you know what that means ;-).

Is there any way to have an autosave slot or something like that?

Seems to have to do something with the todays update .... it didn't crash before.

When you first create your character, it'll ask you about what the saving policy shall be. If you select:

Realistic. No exiting without saving.

Then the game automatically saves every time you do something (go inside a village, talk to a companion, buy a horse, etc., etc.).

Problem with the autosave though is that on rare occasions the save file can get corrupted. I prefer to manually save in several save slots periodically.

Never pick Realistic. Sooner or later, you WILL have a corrupt save. Just get into the habit of saving manually (read the manual to configure quicksave / look at options)

@Asphe thanks, ye, I just got a corrupt save as well ...

Nice game, very exhausting, boring at times (too less politics) - but that's it. Not going to replay it :).
