Auto-respolve, how not to suffer deaths?
So, i have come to a point where i am just absolutely bored of the battles, i have done so many, and my troops are so strong they never even get wounded in regular fights with 100-200 opponents. The problem comes when i try to auto-resolve the battle, letting my units fight without me, then i usualy get several deaths, and in turn take a long time to replace. This even after fights 4/1 in my benefit. Thus the game forces me to spend time in battles, battles where i use the same old tactics, but where i just kill the higher level enemies and then let my units kill off the five+ waves of lv 1-2 units that offer no opposition at all.

Sooo... is there a way to balance it up a little?

At that point I usually just pick a mod and start a new game. Once the battle challenge is gone I lose interest. You can increase the difficulty by bumping damage to your self and friendly units up to 100% which helps to keep it interesting.

If you want to keep it easy and just persevere to complete your strategic goals then be aware that auto-resolve is almost always going to result some casualties regardless. If you are bored with the battles you could have generally better battle results by entering the battles and letting them all charge (depending on the type of army you have) and then step away from the computer for a few minutes until it is done.

It is balanced. A group fighting without a leader is obviously going to be less effective than a group with one. If you don't want casualties, there are probably cheats you can turn on.

Or maybe it's time for a new game if you're already tired of the combat.

I am playing the Floris Expanded mod with mainly heavy cavalry supported by heavy inf and plenty of archers, all lv 5-6-7. I got my own kingdom with several cities and castles, so its a pretty tough army i got going, but since i have to scout my kingdom for all of those pesky little enemy groups that offer no resistance it gets boring, there are plenty of those, and not so many kings and marshalls hopping about. I also got a game on another mod, but its a little too tough and hasnt caught on yet and i kinda want to finish my kingdom...

you say fighting without a leader, but you have co-captains to take care of things, not to mention some examples.

I just finished off a caravan gaurd, just 2 left, the master and one of his gaurds I had 80 elite troops, let them finish them off. caravan master and his gaurd managed to kill 2 huscarls, a rhoodoc marksman, and knock out two of my generals. 2 vs 80.

leader or no, I'd love to see the replay of such stupidity.
