Where to find quests after first quest?
I just finished the first quest where you have to finish save some guys brother from bandits and then did the quest where you have to fight bandits out of Praven. What do I do now? I don't know where to find quests.

Bonus question: How do I heal? People say to wait but I've been waiting for ages and it's still low. I've been sleeping in towns as well.

In Native, there are no quest lines. It's all small quests, and you can pick those up from the city mayor, kings, lords, village elders, peasants in taverns, ladies in halls, etc...

Healing happens over time, and yes, it is very slow if you do not help it along. How to do so?
- there is a party skill "First aid". It reduces the damage you have taken, right after the battle's over
- there is a party skill "Wound treatment". It increases the healing rate, a lot.
- you heal faster when resting in towns and castles. At night, you pay unless you own the fief.

Some mods have additional ways of healing, for example, the Viking Conquest DLC has physicians, who, among other services, can always bring you up to 40% health.

How can I change Native to another option? There doesn't seem to be options when I click it.

This game does not have a "Story mode". It's a sandbox RPG. Unscripted and you create the story. Go out there, do quest, and see where it leads you.

You have to buy DLCs like "With Fire and Sword" or "Viking Conquest", which both have stories, or download a free mod that does. Only "The Wedding Dance" and the "Adventure Mod" have full blown stories that I know of, but many, many mods have chained quests.

Frankly, I prefer to make up my own stories, and have only finished two of the three "With Fire and Sword" main quests. "Viking Conquest"'s story is good, but still it is only a cherry on top of the excellent sandbox.

In any case, I recommend finishing Native a few times before you try any of the mods/DLCs with stories, because they tend to be brutally harder than Native. I mean that. Even some veteran players are reduced to complaining and rage quitting.

Tuidjy nailed it. You have to make your own fun in Native, which I personally love. You can fight or not fight as much as you want. Viking Conquest story mode was a bit slow to start for me. I much prefer sandbox mode.

That only applies to the player character BTW. I've tried talking to the physician when a few of my companions were "wounded", and/or below 40% health, and it just goes straight to the "never mind" dialog, and they are still wrecked.

With the wound feature turned off though, physicians are next to useless. If you're far enough from a major town to camp for one night, you'll likely heal enough that they can't help any way.

Well, I play with wounds on, and I spent 90% of my time in a 9 man party and speed over 10, so I am never that far from a city. That feature is extremely useful early in the game, when you get hurt easily, and when you want to win a tournament.

I normally don't have a problem with necroing a post, but really? This post is over 7 years old and you added absolutely nothing to it.
