Report a translation problem
Whenever starting a new kingdom, whether for a claimant or yourself, try to grab territory as fast as possible. Don't stop to defend villages, and if they go to siege one of your fiefs, capture two of theirs while they are busy. Even if you are trading castles or towns, it means that the other side's lords are losing their income since it takes a while to assign those fiefs. That means fewer troops for them and a lord with no holdings is much easier to persuade to join you.
