Reinstall with the relevant setup file. Steam auto-updates to 1.160 so you'll need to get the installers from TW directly at their website (or google it)

first off dont buy WB steam version.
if you did, make sure auto-update is disable

else

1. download the required WB version from official website:
https://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Warband/Download ***

2. get the WB steam key from your game library

3. convert the steam key to retail copy

4. hopefully this converter works and get the new key 4x4 instead of 5x5

5. activate it in the game splash screen

*** if a mod requires a specific version to run, just torrent that version from pirate_bay ie: 1.141, 1.153, 1.158. Its DRM free anyway.

If a mod requires 1.153 or above, they'll generally work with the current build. Though if they don't, just download Silverstag and use it's WSE client launcher which lowers the build to 1.153 to load the mods with.

For lower then that, you'll need to maintain a seperate install.

You can have multiple versions installed at the same time in different folders. Just change the folder name at install to make it clear which is which. Launch the alternate versions from a shortcut instead of Steam. Only get other versions directly from Taleworlds.

I m quite sure you know that, older version of saved games are not compatible just for heads up
