Sea raider landing nowhere to be found?
I got a quest to find a sea raider landing and no matter where I searched, even around the normal area they appear, and even when using the true sight cheat, I cannot find one anywhere on the map. What's going on?

I had a similar problem in my most recent game -- couldn't find the sea raider landing anywhere, but kept bumping into sea raider parties in the strangest places (like in Swadian territory around where the forest bandits usually spawn). I have no explanation for it.
I normally patrol up and down the beach on the north coast from Rivacheg to Wercheg and usually bump into it that way.

One other thing you can do is next time you accidentally discover one, don't destroy it. Just leave it alone and save it for later. And then next time when you find a lord that wants the lair eliminated -- voila! Since you've already found it previously, the hideout/landing/lair now becomes a quest item, so now it's only a matter of going there directly and getting the job done.

I know where to find it but it just wasn't there. I explored the entire coastline from Fisdnar to Tihr.

I had that problem once, but they put up their lair down the river fork as well, so you have to explore the entire river line as well - I'd given up and randomly bumped into it some hours later...

I know its an old thread, but I kinda found relevant information on this bug:

In my case both the Sea Raider and theTaiga Bandit camps seemed to have vanished. True sight seems to NEVER reveal those camps. However by chance I still was able to locate the Taiga Bandits. They were at the north river near Shapeshte. And I had to ride right next to it for it to pop up. After it did, Meriga offered me the Sea Raider quest (he didnt before and its my favorite quest for farming XP). The Sea Raider were all of a sudden easily to be found at the far north coast as always.

tl:dr:
-true sight doesnt help
-ride closely along the north river to find the Taiga camp
-ride closely at the north coast (after Taiga camp has been located)

Thanks. I know it's a real bug because it has happened to me twice, in two different games. If it ever happens again I'll give this a try.

the sea raider camp is always (if you are at the veagirs) between rivareg on the coast line until the nord village at the sea when you ride down.

this is the sea raider camp i always start up with.
it spawns fast, it gives a lot of very good stuff for yourself and companions and you can sell it for a lot of money.

That is where it's supposed to be. We all know that. We are talking about an apparent bug where it doesn't appear there, or anywhere else on the map. It is a very rare bug so it doesn't surprise me that most people haven't seen it.

Edit: In the two games where I saw this bug, I had already destroyed the sea raider lair at least once. The bug happens when the lair is supposed to reappear some time after having been destroyed, but it doesn't (and yet there are still sea raider parties roaming around all over the map).

I just thought of another possible way to troubleshoot this bug: you could allow yourself to be captured by the sea raiders over and over, and hope that they eventually drag you back to wherever their lair is. A rather extreme solution I know, but as long as you deposit all your money and equipment in your castle first, it wouldn't be too bad.

If you did this at or near nightfall, it might have a better chance of success. If they're within traveling range, bandit units will always try to return to the area near their camp at night.

If you cannot find a hideout, and are willing to cheat to find it, or just want to make sure that it exists on the map, the easiest way is to load the saved game in an editor, and look for the hideout coordinates in the party information.
