Rune Swords In Prophesy of Pendor

How can I make a Rune Sword? I have a Qualis Gem, have access to the Noldor Castle but still don't know how to make one. Can someone please tell me?

Noldors don't have anything to do with it. As always, it's matter of talking, with any traveler you'd meet. And screen your map, if you don't fully read all the dialogs, I don't always either, it might be there already.. somewhere.

I never made one, it was just randomly being sold by a merchant. Heavy Double Sided Rune Axe.

But you must be able to craft them I'm sure..

you need two qualis gems, the first to unlock the mines of Al-Aziz on the campaign map, the other one to buy the strange rune sword, which you can further improve to a saphire, emerald or ruby one by spending another qualis gem

btw..... afaik, the ones sold by merchants cannot be upgraded

By the way, despite effectively costing three gems, enhanced rune weapons (like a Ruby flamberge) are insanely powerful. The damage, speed and reach of a cutting weapon combined with armor piercing is insane.

No kidding. I killed a Demon Magnus in one swing with a Ruby Rune Axe. Even with no speed bonus you can kill almost anything with 1-2 hits.

There is at least one more gem sitting in a hideout (the Red brotherhood or something like this), but to get the location, you will need to talk to the travelers. I vaguely remember someone who wanted some loot and rewarded me with a Qualis gem, but I am less sure about that.

There are a few ways of getting unlimited Qualis gems, though:
- you can capture the leaders of unique spawn armies, and ransom them for gems
- you can fight in the Noldor tournament... but by the time you start winning reliably, it will probably be because you have drunk your weight in Qualis gems already

Do you happen to know where I can find a Gem (Ruby, Emerald or Sapphire)?

You give a Qualis gem to the hermit and choose what gem he should use (I think you also need some wine) You never actually handle a ruby, emerald, etc...

I'm personally very careful with spoiling around PoP, as that particular mod is such a gem, and the beauty of a gem being you've got to find it on your own, bump into it, as a total surprise. I'm not sure I wanna know everything before it actually happens. Think about love for instance...
