I only get the option to ask who they think should be awarded the fief.
Nah. I like my companions to fight.
Also I agree about companions, they are much more useful as leaders of an army than fighting on the battle field.
Then I'll have a look again. Kinda used to just talking to chancelor and just saying, I want to hand out my fiefs to people.
Nope.
Just; "Whom do you think should receive the fief of *****" when I talk to a lord.
Chancellor only to replace marshall and fire him. Chancelor does say that Yalen doesn't have a lord so one is collecting taxes
Sad...
Anyway to duplicate the Chad that is Jeremus?
The mod I'm playing disables companion disputes. How else do you think I have all of them.
When I do this, I can't select a local to become chancellor...
Edit.
I found this;
And am gonna try this. Post said something about needing modules file or something. Not too sure what that is, cuz it sounds different than the module aka vanilla/mod.
Only other thing I found was to use save editor, place a companion in a troop tree, take rhodok levy, level them up, before placing companion, selecting the companion upgrade, reset the troop tree to have 2 of 1 companion, but not too sure how to do that either.
Once I did that I selected that companion to be my chancelor. The edited troop became chancelor while the legit companion stayed in party, now named chancelor.
So I guess it worked?
Like I said. When I put a companion in as chancelor I could not return him to the party and put a local back in place.
Now I have a chancelor without losing a companion in the party.
