I kept trying to catch the master and I succeeded once by approaching him from the direction of the castle he was closest to. Even with my 6.1 speed army it was a close one. After catching the master (by sending in only my manhunter type troops to fight) I followed the tracks of the spy but did not see him. The tracks ended at the city where i got the quest. Maybe I could have caught him if I had not followed the tracks and headed straight for the city but I somehow doubt it.
This quest needs some tweaking to make it possible for a greater variety of army speeds. Even with full cavalry I was slow.
And thx to everyone for help and warm words :)
Pathfinding speeds up your movement on the outside map, Tracking is the skill that allows you to find the paths................yeah, I know what you're thinking, but that's how it is.
