So... I finally started a feast of my own, and now I have no idea on how to end it.
Help?

Become the Marshall and start a campaign is the easiest way.

Okay, and if I'm not really interested in starting a new campaign?
Are there any other ways to end a feast?

Yeah. I also would like to know. My queen sent me on a quest to get more food and drink for the guests. I haul back a ton of different foods and drinks and the quest is still there.

As a marshall you can start a campaign and end it immediately. There's no penalty for that, as far as I know.

I haven't thrown feasts for the past few playthroughs since I didn't bother getting married but as I recall, starting a campaign is how I used to end them.

You don't have to fight a campaign, you just have to start one.

Knowing this, feasts become an excellent way to gather your forces together in one place when you do want to go on a campaign.

A feast can run its course or you can run out of provisions, etc. I never had much luck trying to wait them out though.

I have to admit, I have never started a feast while not being the marshal. Why would I? Feasts have two main purposes:
1) Collect the lords in one place, so that you can ask their opinions, or so that you can start a huge campaign
2) Improve your relationship with your vassals, by wining and dinning them.

There is little point in doing either unless you are king or marshal, or, as I like it, both.

Appointing a new marshal (even if it is not yourself) usually ends the feast within a day, since the new marshal will want to go on campaign right away.

not a king, nor a marshall, just started the game a few weeks ago and i tried to make a feast how it is, im actually worried if idid a really wrong move, im a swadian lord, i have around 15-35 relations with everibody (exept rafach i called him out) and im worried if a feast can fail, as im at peace, i own curaw, my only fief, im playing on the custom troop trees, as i heard its a good mod that fixes a lot of my potential problems, though i am thinking on making my own kingdom already as swadia is not having that much swadian swag anymore with cais as a marshall really did some damage as he only began big fights and lost because he always ran with alf the lords leaving our allies to a 300 vs 700 fight, we lost more than we got, i fought hard for curaw, one time taking it by myself (at great cost). Aniway what do you think i shoul do? i have 850 renown 55 honour rating and 30 right to rule, do you think i should leave swadia before the 3 truces with the nords, vaegirs and rodhoks end? or ishould stay, SOMEHOW end my feast and try my best, i am able to solo an army, around 100 nords strong, but with 70 medium/elite soldiers i have defeated 400 nords using a hill, archers a line of infantry and hit/run tactics with cavalry, i tried to do custom troops in one game with cheats, and i know how to minmax them pretty well (a lot of fun for me to see multiplayer worthy soldiers like a naked man with a balancen great long bardiche or a horseman with a great hammer and thirst for blood) i think ive got a chance to kicksomeass, but i dont know how to proceed to leave swadia with curaw or if i will be at war with everyone, could you give me some guidance?
