If you miss it, you gotta restart and try again.
Once you're in, you will be in a bunch of different menus and options for your laptop. Look around in here for an option for function keys or FN keys or something along those lines, and there should be two options, switch it to the other option.
What it does it makes it so the function keys like your laptop volume and brightness and stuff in your f keys require you hold fn key before pressing, but allows those keys to function normally for stuff like games.
So you will no longer have to hold FN key when using any video game that uses those buttons, but in order to use volume and stuff you hold FN instead.
Do agree its annoying that unforeseen future of function key being merged with other functions has made it harder to play this game tactfully.
Yeah..no. the vast majority of laptops come with the FN keys on by default with the regular f keys requiring holding FN.
I've had 4 different laptops by 4 different makers that all required me to change the settings in bios. Either you were lucky or someone changed them for you.
