There are many warband mods that add HUGE maps(some even outright recreate ALL of europe).
It is ok if the map is big, but will it have stuff in it?
Most of these big map mods are...really empty. No bandits, few lords and almost no caravans.
Furthermore if you ever played a mod like Warsword Conquest, which features ALOT of factions and lords. Most low end computers start choking up.
So either it is all a MASSIVE and empty desert, or people who can't afford to upgrade their computer won't be able to play it(at least without the game looking like a slide show).
Don't mean to burst any bubbles, just putting out my 2 cents.
My point is that if they populate the game to make it lively even a moderately powerful pc may not be enough.
If every actor has a goal then that may put alot of strain on PC, and that goes beside graphics and engine which no doubt will also put more strain on computers.
I have starved myself of bannerlord videos so that when it comes out it will be a fresh experience.
Unfortunetly it seems like it might need a dedicated gaming PC(or REALLY strong laptop) to run. Which sadly I don't have and can't afford at the moment
Glad to hear it
Like I said I am not trying to pop any bubble, just giving my opinion.
If they are gonna flesh out the game and factions, aside graphics and engine improvment...I'm gonna be stuck with warband for a while longer.
But hey priority, secure the neccesities THEN the luxury.
I do hope they flesh out the siege combat more, the whole running up a wooden ladder gambit is kinda stale.
I've seen videos and by the looks of it you will now have multiple siege towers and ladders. Your men will no longer go up one ladder or tower so we are both in luck. :D
NEAT
Do you know if the enemy shifts their garrison to meet your attack?
like if you want to use a different ladder, or assign multiple squads and assault from multiple angles.
Like make them restart the siege, or is it only to slow them down?
So instead of climbing up the ladders and tower--I presume--you can destroy, they have to break through the front gate taking fire all the way and basically get bottlenecked.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pv2qb66PbUg I just watched the video with the different Siege engines but i'll have to look a little further to find the info on sallying.
its not just a phase mom
