Why is the combat in Warband 1000x better than Bannerlords?
In Bannerlords I feel like I don't have the same precision as here. The blocking is totally delayed and I end up dying real quick. Warband is (right now) still superior.

Because Warband has been out of the beta phase for many, many years now, and it has had time to work through the teething problems that literally any new game ever always inevitably has.

Bannerlord will be better than Warband, eventually. Right now, from what I've seen, I can't say that. But in four, five months? Maybe so. In a year? I definitely think so. By the time they fully release the game, it'll be like heaven on a plate.

And that's why im telling people that this game may be the better No Fantasy Medieval Sandbox Rpg we may have in a year or two.

Imagine the possbilities when they let people start modding in the new engine.

Still, I also might wait to buy it. The price is too high right now in my country for an early acess game.

But you acting like the devs are making a brand new game.
They could have just taking the combat and applied it to Bannerlord. It's most likely the same team. And be honest. Bannerlord is just a reskin of Warband.
I just played an Arena match and had more fun with the combat system than now in Bannerlord. It's sluggish and there are heaps of delays in every move. Sometimes the blocking doesn't register.

Two possibilities for this huge delay you're feeling:

- If you were playing online, it's called lag.
- If you were playing singleplayer, probably they're trying to make Banner Lord more realistic and also, you remember Mount & Blade work with skills right?

The higher your Still points in a character, the fastest is your movement with weapons.

I'm not taking about skill point in single player. It's multiplayer. But only rarely are servers laggy. This feels more like input lag (but not on my part) it you get what im saying.

Yeah i understand. :)
With the help of the community, they will fix it in time, for sure.

I also noticed that in Warband, if you're skilled enough, you could get away with things you're not supposed to. For example, if I use good enough footwork, I can double strike enemy AI (in the arena, at least) without having to block.

Might just be me not having enough athletics and weapons points in my Bannerlord character, though.

But now your speaking of singleplayer mode. I'm talking about multiplayer where everyone is the same skill (and the highest skilled i reckon)

multiplayer is a lag fest no wonder it's better in warband, I mean they worked more on SP than MP, they even asked the community if they wanted to have a better SP or MP and majority voted SP.
I don't blame em, M&B is a SP game not a MP game and I am happy that they listened and decided to try and make SP playeble in a way for an EA game.

Anyway about MP, it's super laggy and stuttery for me I don't like it right know and I don't care if it doesn't improve for a few months know, I care more about SP since that is what M&B is more about.

Perhaps you're simply not used to it?

This pandemic has greatly reduced the internet quality across the world and player numbers are pretty high at the moment as a result of that pandemic.

You mean because it's a new game? I doubt. For some reason in bannerlord you need to hold the RMB a few milliseconds longer than a simple wuick klick in Warband. Some people in online chat agreed while playing that this whole sluggish feel reminded them of Exanima.
Something feels totally flawed when compared to Warband.
P.S I have noticed when playing Asserai (footsoldier the first one you can pick in TDM) he takes way longer than any other unit to strike and block from my experience.

Which the have, while the visuals may be of a similar style, the underlieing engine, is completly new, so yeah they litterally have made a new game in the technical department

Because they had only like 8 years to at least copy Warband features and mechanics properly.
