Help with "Organize Feast"

So me and my wife decided to organize a feast. I have everything on magnificent except food variety which is sufficient. Overall my table is sufficient. Anyways, when I wait for the feast to take place during the "Organize Feast"- quest no lord comes to the feast. There is not even a "Join Feast"-thing next to "Castle". After a few days the quest is gone and I hear the "Quest Completed"-sound. It doesn't say in chat that the quest is completed. What am I doing wrong?

You just need to ""organize"" it in order to complete the quest.
It doesn't matter how many Lords have come.
The renown boosted after you've completed the quest.
Some Lords have their own thing to do some Lords don't like you......That's why noone comes.

*** If you want it to be MORE success, TIMING is the factor, organize it when your faction is not at war, or when your relationship with other Lords is higher.

I just found out that I had to have a castle or a city owned in order to host a feast. Thanks for the answer though! :)

For me what works is, I wait until my faction is not at war, then I talk to my minister and say "for a short while we shall have no marshal". That guarantees that there will be no active military campaign to distract your lords from the feast.

Yeah when it comes to feasts timing is very important.

During peace or inbetween campaigns is best time to try for it. Until then if you don't have anything better to do work on building up the goods needed to throw the feast.

Also, if you own a town, but still are headquartered in a castle, move your residence to your town (if more than one, pick one based on location). This gives you the added advantage of being able to do tournaments while you wait around for people to come eat your food.
