Need Help with Marriage Quest
So, i'm doing the "Formal Marriage Proposal" quest and both the lady and her father like me. However, I have nowhere near enough money to pay the dowry (I have about 2576 denars, dowry payment is about 18300). The quest log tells me to "get father's permission" and that I have 30 days to complete it.

My questions are:

1.If the time limit runs out and I fail the quest, will I still be able to court the same lady later?

2.Any tips on making the money? I make 292 denars a week (1 village, 5 productive enterprises and a 42 man cavalry army). At this rate, I don't think I will be able to make the money in time.

2. If you fail the quest, I think you the relationship with his father will decrease but you can try it again. ( not 100% sure )

After just one rotation (roughly 30 days Depends on number of bandit parties you hunt down) you should make on quest alone 9000 denars.
It's possible to earn $16000 within 30 days from looting Sea Raiders + trading + selling badits.
But ...only after a certain period of game day, in which you can loot a froup of 40 Sea Raiders every battles AND you can sell the looting to Rivacheg, Wercheg, Khudan and Curaw.
***4. Using cavalry to do trading, eg.
Buy Raw Silk from Rivacheg (sell Salt and iron to them asthe same time ) sell those silks to other towns leaving two sell to Suno.
Buy Spice from Ichamur and Tulga
Buy fish and some other cheap food from Tihr and Sargoth (sell wine and iron to them as the same time ) sell them to Suno, Dhirim and Uxkhal
Buy whaet from Dhirim sell them to Uxkhal.
Carefully plan you trading routine, $1600 is possible if your men can walk fast on the map And
your faction is not at war with the other factions.
**** If the her father defects to an enemy faction, the wedding will be called off, but you can still elope with her.

Sadly I can not say what happens, when the quest fails.

292 Denars per week? Are you attacking other parties and selling the loot? You should do that, even if it is only searaiders.
Take part in tournaments.
If you still need money before the time runs out attack the bandit hideouts for a last money boost.
Bandit hunt and Hideout quest gives a lot of money too.

+1

I normally move from swadia (Going right) completing Bandit Hideout quests till I reach Sea Raider Areas. Once there I just capture as many as possible, ransom them and sell thier gear. Then I leave band or two left to grow, do a quest to destroy the bandit hideout then keep moving counterclockwise.

-As mentioned before, tournaments can be a really great way of maiking money. They provide over 2000 Denars if you place the highest bid. The arena master will tell you where tournaments are currently held. Thus they might be easier to find than sea raiders.
-While you are hopping from town to town you can still fight any bandits you encounter.
-Furthermore, you can buy and sell goods from towns. They will help you make a (relatively small) amount of extra money. Check the wiki for their base prices to see if it is a smart buy.

OP, I think you are using your real world brain. It's not like you have a monthly income, really. You go out and make money!

Thirty days is a long time. I bet you'll have no problem coming up with a dowry in a month.

Look up some guides for ideas, check out YouTube videos, whatever it takes. There are plenty of ways to make that much and more in thirty days.

Oh, and congratulations on your upcoming nuptuals! Tell your wife I said hello, and that I will never forget that weekend in Rivacheg;)

Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone. I'm going to try them and hope I don't have to find out what happens if the quest fails.
