Count Klargus Is The Worst

So this happened; the Marshal of Swadia, Count Klargus snatched 24 Swadian Knights from me. I was just minding my own business having just usccesfully besieged a Rhodok castle, when the guy, the bastard he is, comes in with the faction's war party chasing the enemy faction leader right into my new castle and of course, 70% of my guys being wounded I get absolutely destroyed. The Rhodok leader then proceeds to leave my army, 5 companions, 24 Swadian Knights and a load of rabble in the castle, leaves and is caught and destroyed by Klargus. So I got free with only 5 of my companions remaining and no army, but then I thought, this can't be too bad, my Knights are still alive, I just need to recapture the castle, but the guy decides that the castle with practically no garrison can be just left at it and wanders off.

So now I'm thinking ot myself, if I just fetch my garrison of another nearby castle, I can rescue my Knights by myself, so I went. And when I had come back, less than a day later, Klargus, the sunova nerfherder that he is, had changed his mind about besieging the castle and went in there with the war party. The siege somehow glitched out, so I couldn't join, only "approach the castle and hail the guard". Then the siege ends and Count "the hacker" Klargus leaves with 24 Swadian Knights sharp and heads off to Praven. Even Butterlord Harlaus doesn't have 24 Swadian Knights and now this upstart Marshal does. I'm so done with him, I'll probably switch over to the Nords, just so I can return to beat him up one day.

I think every player has reasons to remember certain lords and it would be interesting to compile them.

There was once I was a Sarranid Rebel and I manage to take Dhirim from the Sarranids. Dhirim being the most vulnerable city on the map, I dropped it in Emir Tilimsan's hands just for the free friendship boost, as I had little doubt Dhirim would soon be besieged and taken.

Shortly after defeating the Sarranids, I ride back to Dhirim and to my dismay, it is now under the Khergits. I thought: "How? I was never informed that it was besieged."
I scroll through the list of lords and there it is, the smart bastard Tilimsan had defected, taking Dhirim and two castles with him.

I ride after him and feed him the usual promises about being fair to all and stuff, but he says that I've surrounded myself with "snakes and other slimy things". Implying I'm a hypocrite!
W-well yeah, that's true, I gave all my new (terrible personality) lords fiefs, but you're just an NPC, you can't be that smart!

Personally, I hate the lords that wander across half the map to loot your one village. It annoyed me so much I actually started retaliating by taking the castles/cities they owned. Then they would come back, I would beat them senseless, capture them, and let them languish in their own dungeons until their faction made peace.

It doesn't deter them from looting your villages in the future, but it IS deeply satisfying.

You should chalk that up to bad luck rather than to Klargus being a d*ck. It could have happened with any marshal. Klargus is actually a great lord to have on your side if you ever decide to start your own kingdom. He commands a strong army and he is a good marshal.

I've got him in my faction and have been thinking about tossing him but, when he defected to us he brought Suno with him. I might keep him, then, if he's a good Marshall. I had someone else in mind but I'll see how it goes.

Have like 100 last time I played native. Training skill is op as is hunting bandits.

Jarl Knudar was one my best allies..I am married to his daughter , and he had the closest castle to mine

Bstard went and defected to Sarranids , and we are not at war with them for a long time..I can't even go get revenge yet

If it makes you feel better i always found huscarls better for sieging anyway? if that's any consilation...
