Whats considered the "hardest" mod?
Which of the mods is considered the most difficult, hardest, or hardcore for warband? (Floris, PoP, Persino etc.)

If it is single-player, it can be figured out and exploited. Every mod has unwinnable fights in the early game, but once you know who's who, you can choose only surmountable challenges.

If your goal is to unite the map in the least game time per settlement, I'd say that Viking Conquest will take the longest.

I hear prophecy of pendor can be pretty brutal( damage is ramped up like crazy so even easiest settings don't help much).

Most mods can be conquered once you answer this one simple question.

"How do I make alot of money consistently"

Once you figure that out(businesses, selling loot, slave trade etc etc)then comes the natural.

Better gear, better troops, easier game.

Viking Conquest might take the longest simply because there is so much territory to conquer, but in terms of overall difficulty I found Prophecy of Pendor to be much harder.

Viking quest is a paid mod? Not a free one like the others?

Viking Conquest started as a mod, but then the developers picked it up and expanded on it and gave it official support and turned it into a DLC.

The mod base has been used to drive other mods such as the Tale of Fire and Ice mod. Im still trying to work out my favourite selection of mods to play.

I've played a few mods that were hard just because they were buggy. Ignoring those, I'd say Pendor can get a bit brutal, I found for these reasons:

* Shortly after leaving town for the first time and a band of high-level (mounted) adventurers spots me & chases me down. After they dragged me around the screen for a while, another band did the same thing.
* Lances are realistically brutal & lots of troops like to use them.
* Invading armies numbering around 1000 troops with scout groups to chase you down.
* One Demonic magnus is a fun challenge. Dozens of them backed up by knights and footmen is very very painful.
* Rapid fire elves.

All that said, some of the keeps are both easy to storm and easy to hold (Seven Cross is my favorite). Becoming a king by independently storming a stronghold is pretty perilous, but rebelling from a kingdom, with planning and a bit of patience was actually surprisingly easy. Befriend the Noldor before starting your kindom and start it in territory they patrol. They are incredibly effective at keeping foes at bay.

Oh A Clash of Kings also gets an honorable mention just because Westeros and Essos are so huge that I don't have the patience to conquer either one, let alone both of them.
