Seriously though aiming in this game is ridiculously easy
1. realize that in 3rd person scope is above of where you're actually shooting
2. ???
3. you're 100% accurate
The aiming reticle is actually some of the best I have seen around.
Improve it how? whats the problem with it, it shows you where you are shooting, disappears when you are not aiming and shows you the general spread of your shot. What else do you need?
1. Press the shift key while aiming
2. Improve your weapon proficiencie to 100+
3. Practice inside the Training Fields
Some factions are better at ranged combat than others. Vaegirs are the best archers and rhodoks are the best xbowmen I think. As for aiming, the easiest people to hit are those who stand still - usually other archers who aren't aware of you. I've stood in the center of the arena and got the most kills in a 30v30 tdm just by shooting other archers who didn't move around.
If you're trying to hit a moving target, you have to lead your shot. Aim where you think they will be, not where they are.
It's the same for those times where you're doing an " archer duel". Most archers will side step left or right when they expect your shot so shooting where they are will result in a miss.
When 2 handlers charge you and dodge around, watch for a pattern and shoot when you can predict their next move, or if you're certain you'll hit.
You want software that can do this? Where's the fun, or skill, in that?
EDIT don't forget that arrows arc. If you can see the tip of someones head, you can hit it. Is there an annoying cluster of xbowmen in the center of the arena? Look to see where they are, hide half way down a set of stars and arc your arrows to their heads. It's beautiful.
