about the question, look near maras castle (one near veluca). bandits' hideouts usually spawn somewhere there
1. The one from a King/Lord need you to find a bandit hideout
check his information, see which town he owns, the bandit hideout should be somewhere near that town.
2. Town mission
A. You require to find a group of bandit which will appear in different colour and will walk around everywhere.
""you can ask anyone (Lord, peasant and caravan) to get some information.""
But if someone else kill them before you, mission failed.
B. You have to kill a few groups of bandit.
Very frustrating, donot accept it.
1: I forgot to specify this but I'm looking for Bandit Parties, not hideouts. I'm trying to complete the "Bandit Blade" achievment.
2: I feel very dumb now. The reason why: Every single town/city everyone everywhere suggest aren't places in my game. Welp. The reason why is I'm playing on Viking Conquest and not "Native"... Sorry for wasting your time guys.
There is no "Bandit Blade" achievement that I could find, but there is one called "Mountain Blade" which requires the player to hunt down 10 groups of Mountain bandits.
The thing is, you will never find any "Mountain Bandits" in Viking Conquest because they are from Warband, etc.
There is a quest where the player can be asked to track down a group of bandits and those quests often confound impatient players. They are pretty easy when you know what you're doing.
Lastly, there is something called the "Bandit King" playthrough, and a special named sword of the same name (I believe), but these have nothing to do with achievements.
A: Ok, again, I messed up. I meant "Mountain Blade" not "Bandit Blade".
B: As I already said; I know that now.
C: Yeah, I've gotten that Quest before. But Idk if they would count as Mountain Bandits. (Honestly, I doubt they would.)
D: I've gotten the sword but I don't know anything about the "playthrough".
Also- Yes. I am very confused. So thanks to all who've put up with my confusion. I should've done some more research before asking for help. Sorry for wasting your time.
I was trying to help you clarify your question...or figure out what your question is?
The "Mountain Blade" achievement is for killing Mountain Bandits, which do not exist in Viking Conquest - it's for another game.
If you get a quest for tracking down bandits, it doesn't matter what they are called, you simply have to find the correct group that you are searching for.
The Bandit King "playthrough" isn't even a playthrough as I understand it, but rather something people like to do in Viking Conquest. You get the sword and make pals out of bandits so you can visit their camps and do business with them, recruit them, etc. That's about it...unless I'm missing something? In order to do that, you have to completely tank your reputation/honour, etc. which then makes a regular game pretty much pointless.
If you really want to get the "Mountain Blade" achievement, you will have to play a game of Warband (or some variation that has Mountain bandits in it).
There's plenty of helpful people around, you just need to figure out what your question is before they can help you out.
(On the side though- I now have not only a new idea on how to play the game, but, I have info to go off of when I do play normal M&B. So, I suppose this discussion wasn't a real waste of time. :)
Just to get you up to speed, Mount & Blade is the original game. Warband came out several years later and is generally considered such an awesome update that few people ever play the old "Mount & Blade" anymore (as far as I know).
Viking Conquest is a recent DLC based off the Brytenwalda mod. They changed the setting to be North Western Europe, and made it a lot more "roguelike" (meaning it cheats more and is much less forgiving).
There are a couple of other official titles for online multiplayers and folks into the Polish novels that inspired the game.
The rest are mods.
For new players, I always warn them away from Viking Conquest and strongly recommend learning on Warband. If you're into the whole baptism by fire approach then carry on carrying on, otherwise you might want to consider learning the game on a version that isn't trying to kill you.
On the store page (or in your library since you own the game), you can find a link on the right hand side for the "Manual". That is an excellent resource for new and old players alike. Then there are player created guides to consider as well.
Lastly there are the forums - this one, and the official TaleWorlds forum.
Good luck and I hope you enjoy your game.
You've basically been playing a mod of the game this entire time without ever having tried out the game itself.
