I believe thats the long spike bat the Rhodoks use, its a bastard weapon(1 and 2 handed).

If you mean PURE 1 handed....spiked mace I think.

Is the long spike bat blunt damage, do you know?

I suck at mounted combat but my main way of money making is through prisoners, so I am trying to find a blunt weapon + shield combo with the longest reach to make the mounted combat a bit easier for me.

Its pierce if you stab, but blunt if you swing.

With reach of 120(or something) as opposed to the more common 70.

Awesome, thats perfect then. Once I've finished working up my archery and 1-handed weapons in the arena, Ill head over to Rhodok towns and check for one of those bats. Thanks!

Good luck, happy hunting.

That 'bat' is called a spiked staff, and has indeed very good reach for a weapon that can be used one handed, namely 117 centimeters. The only problem is that until your proficiency goes in the 300-400 hundreds, the swinging speed remains abysmal.

Bаsтагd weapons incur a serious penalty to both speed and damage when used in one hand, and that penalty only decreases as proficiency raises. It's over 20% around proficiency 100 and around 10-15% at proficiency 400.

Firstly Tuidjy

Its centimeters?
I never knew that was the metric, I just though it was a number you compare to other number and ...feel out the distance.

Secondly

Yes its not the fastest BUT

A) he's on a horse, so its less about speed and more about timing( much the same for damage reduction thanks to speed bonus)

B) He asked for the longest 1 hander not the best slave catcher(the 2 handed sarranid iron mace).

C) Sorry if I sound like I am attacking you or getting defensive(I am not), I just wanted to make a list and needed it to go to atleast C so it would count :steamhappy:

I somehow missed that whole 'knocking people out from horseback" angle. When I explore the mace options in most mods, it's usually about defeating armor.

In Native, I have always found that the blunt tournament lance is the best way to take high value prisoners without too much effort. Especially if you give a few to companions like Alayan, Firentis and Bunduk.

The reason I like the lance is that satisfactory cash flow in Native comes much earlier than in other mods, so you really need to catch prisoners early on, when neither your Power Strike nor your weapon proficiencies are very high. So the massive damage from the lance is enough where the 20+ damage of the maces may not be, even with the speed bonus from the horse.

Ya know, I never considered using a lance (thought it was piercing dmg). I'm playing Floris Mod, and have everything on max difficulty (good AI, normal player dmg etc.) My first starting stats at character creation are in Strength to start with 12 as well as 4 in power strike. I plan on maxing Int first, so I am hoping 12 Str / 4 PS is good enough until about level 20 ish when I am finished with Int.

Ive never beaten the game before, and Ive never even became a vassle, let alone started my own kingdom. I usually just go full Str / Agi then enlist in an army just so I can get into some big fights. However, now I am starting a new game and going to actually try for the first time, to conquer the world and make my own kingdom etc. Going from a fully maxed out Str character with like 70-80hp and 350 combat skills, to this crappy little level 1 Int character with 47hp, a slow horse, no armor or weapons etc. It's rough...I got my ass kicked on my first set of 15 Looters lol.

So I've decided what I will do for now is just sit in the Arena, work on my Archery and 1 Hand skills until they're like 150-200, while also saving all the money. Then I'll buy a faster horse, some armor with 35+ defense, a shield, and some type of blunt weapon. THEN I'll finally leave Praven and start hunting Looters for prisoners to start making some $$$ to begin my army with.

Going from that Strength / Agi focused fighter character, to more of a Int focused "Commander" type character was a big kick in the balls, especially in the very beginning when I don't have neither items, nor skills/hp to fall back on.

TLDR: I got my ass kicked by looters. Decided to stay in town, working on skills / levels in the Arena. Trying to figure out which weapon I should go for to make capturing Looters/Bandits in the first 30 days easier on me.

Yeah Jousting lances(they do blunt damage) are not very good compared to original mount and blade(in MY opinion), the down time is too long and the stabbing damage is.....meh.

If I need prisoners I just do runs with the iron mace and a charger(for chip damage and harder slowdown)

Edit: "I suck at mounted combat but my main way of money making is through prisoners"
This is the line that tipped me of that he was on horseback, that and I figured thats the reason he was asking for a LONG blunt weapon.
