Ymira and Jeremus is good when used a non combatant.
The Masterwork Light Crossbow is a much better choice for the player, because it is the strongest crossbow that can be reloaded on horseback. Even then, it is only really useful in field battles. If I am going to fight in a siege then I want a siege crossbow.
sometimes you have to choose between opting for a Bow or Crossbow, bow is a much better IMO, since the strongest bow could have the fastest firing speed while still having Damage, but the specialization needed for that will take a long time.
I don't know if its cause I mismanage my skill points but I find it hard to fill up power draw and power strike at the same time.
Maybe I should focus less on int, who knows.
INT skills are so many.
From Trainer, Tactics(Increase the men you have on the battlefield, only kinda works in Late game, if you literally have 0 Tactic and fighting a 100 v 300, you could literally start with 20 men v 130 men at the start)
Spotting, Pathfinding, and Engineering can be specialized by companions
Inventory management is when you have fight a lot of battles, and find some good stuff like armor and such that can be sold, even though it will cost like 20% of it's original price, so if I found a Armor that cost 1000 from a sea raider, I might as well get that 200 Denars.
Or stock up on Butters
Definitely stocking up.
I know that a small elite force works better in this game, but sometimes you just want to lead a legion of Rhodok sharpshooters or a battalion of Swadian infantry.
Selling loot is a cornerstone of making money, even at endgame its a good source.
Getting inventory managment is important for that front.
Also, I am weird and don't use companions often. Several games Its just me and no one else.
Examples:
10 Surgery saves 65% of casualties. 10(+4) saves 81%, i.e. instead of more than one in three casualties dying, it's less than one in five.
10 Engineering build a siege tower in 30 hours.
10(+2) Engineering which you can get with a natural 11 in Intelligence, takes 18 hours.
10(+4) Engineering takes 6 hours.
Etc.
Even my Strength 30 / Agility 30 player characters get +2 in Engineering and Surgery, and +1 in Path-finding, First Aid, and Wound treatment. The opportunity cost is low, and the payoff high.
