I don't think it's possible to have a court as a vassal. Normally you'll get a kingdom if you create a castle without being a vassal, but never tried doing it whilst being vassal myself so didn't know.
You get a good sum of money fron that single castle. Make sure you don't hire any new members as they take 10k florins per week each.
I think the castle generates like 40k florins to its treasury and then gives you your king's purse (you can increase it, can't remember where unfortunately)
If you have enterprises make sure to upgrade them and hire more workers.
