Keeping a castle when leaving a faction?
So I was awarded a castle (Curaw) by the Swadian king and I have a decent army and money. I was wondering, can I leave the faction and still keep the castle? If so, how would I do this? Do I just talk to him about withdrawing my oath?

Pretty sure when you withdraw your oath you give back any fiefs you own, so no.

Rescinding your oath surrenders your holdings.

The only way to get out of a faction while keeping your walled fiefs, and every village controlled by them, is open rebellion. For your garrisons to support you in a rebellion, you need a good reason. In Native, there is only one such reason - if you take a walled fief, request it, and the king refuses to give it to you, you get to rebel. Expect the king to show up at your door in a few days, at the head of a thousand or more troops.

RIP. Ok so I guess I will have to help take another castle, request it, get rejected and rebel.

I don't suggest leaving your faction unless you're ready to be attacked by 2-3 factions or to swear loyalty to another king. Whatever is your reason behind the rebellion, you'll have to choose one of the two options.
